Thirty-five years ago: A child is born to a family with no knowledge of who they are and where they come from. Suburbanites happy to live Mundane lives. But others notice. The child has potential. Perhaps, when the time is right, a prestigious school in London will call upon his family, or perhaps another on a small island in New England. Even a few, more open minded, from those lost fog covered shores lift up their heads. It's a man who finally takes action. *Redacted*. A child is lost in the systems of a corrupt world. *Redacted*. Discovery demands sacrifice. Children are very resilient. *Redacted*. Young, obedient, and unassuming. *Redacted*. *Redacted* kindly grandparents. *Redacted* a warm family farm. The boy is valedictorian. The boy is prom king for his high school. *Redacted*

Ten Years ago: A goddess chooses. Is it random? The child, now a man, is alone for the first time. A man from London comes to call. Finally making the offer that should have been made so long ago. A soldier is needed. *Redacted* Obedience is a worth while trait in a soldier.

A thousand years ago, raiders found their way to the New World to do battle with a great army of Sun Worshippers. A thousand years ago, those raiders attempted to sail back. Most did not returned, but some did. Some did and brought with them great dark things from the deep. Many clans and people were lost. Some survived: Distant kin far enough away to hear of the terrors before they were on their doorstep. Some survived and fled their home. Two hundred years before the raiders returned with the drowned dead; a great heathen army had sailed to an Island country in western Europe. England. The sons of Ragnar seeking revenge for the death of their father. The survivors would follow the same path. Not for revenge, but for refuge. And refuge they would find. In a somewhat unlikely place. The Druids of Éire. Taken in, but always outsiders. They keep their gods and never see the fog covered shores of Avalon, but they are safe from the horrors of the Secret World.
