-Katherine was born in London, England to a scientist and a businesswoman. When her father died of illness, Katherine and her mother left for Canada to start a new life. During her college years, she was recruited into a transhumanist organization through one of her professors. Katherine was easily persuaded to join their society as she believed their methods would better humanity and ultimately rid the world of diseases like the one her father died of, though this led to a falling out with her mother who believed their philosophy was unethical.
