Her father suffered some bruises and a leg injury, while Valentina herself went through major head trauma, some broken ribs, a few broken fingers and displacement of a vertebrae. She has eventually made a full physical recovery, but the traumatic loss of her mother has left the biggest impact, both on her as well as her father. Feeling guilty and devastated, her father would be coming home late, stay away from home for days and quite often travel for a week. Valentina was always left with food and money to easily get by in her father's absence, but it meant she would have to start taking care of herself already then.
