His late mother, Sharon, was an information security analyst, and his father, Louis, is a dentist. As Theodore was growing up, his mother suffered from dementia, which took a heavy emotional toll on the rest of the family during her final years of life. She passed in 2005. In 2007, after Theodore and Trinette graduated from high school, the family moved to Vancouver, British Columbia.
