Klaus is a scientist & elementalist in the Illuminati; R&D within the Labyrinth. Born and raised in Munich, he came to America in the 2000s at the behest of the Illuminati. He has a thinly veiled past of being a petty poisoner, harming those he thought hurt him.

The ◬ kept the childishly volatile and mercurial Klaus under some level of control. He's had multiple visits to Arkham State Hospital in the last few years for psychiatric aid. He met Angelique Richter in 2013 and grew to love her deeply - they eventually married in 2014.

For a brief time Klaus and Angel started a business together: Leopard Laboratories, conducting genetic testing for the mundane & supernatural. External influences caused their company to dissolve when the Kaidan crisis grew to the forefront of every agent’s eye.

In recent years, Klaus came into ownership of a shapeshifting cloak and has since bonded with it. With it, he can take the form of a monstrous raven-beast – a nachtkrapp. It has caused both him and Angel trouble. He is a bad bird. The Illuminati know it.
