Sakuya, in a rare moment of relaxation.

Sakuya is an attractive woman of Nisei (an American born to Japanese immigrant parents) descent. A baseball shortstop in high school and college, her figure still reflects an active lifestyle and rigorous exercise. Practical where she must be and chic where she can be, she prefers tailored skirt-suits and neat coiffures in the office, and jeans, sneakers, and bulky longcoats in the field.

Prior to receiving a Bee, she was nearsighted. She still occasionally uses zero-prescription glasses to project a "stern librarian" air when needed.

Combat:

Sakuya has grown into a frighteningly effective combatant. Her specific talents lie in:

• Firearms: Having grown up with a grandfather and father who were recreational hunters, Sakuya grew up learning how to handle a rifle. That competency was fine-tuned during her tenure in Dragon service, where she demonstrated remarkable accuracy with the assault rifle, able to wield it with preternatural precision as both an assault weapon and from long distance as a markswoman. Her preferred weapon is a Red Hand-modified AKM with a sniper's scope, capable of channeling anima for both ammunition and enhanced damage.
• Elemental magic: Sakuya is an accomplished elemental mage, specializing in aquakinesis and cryokinesis. She is especially deadly with the latter, capable of manifesting ice and mist from all but the driest air, and wielding it both defensively (as a floating shield of ice) and offensively (using the manifested ice as a telekinetically-directed projectile, or as a cluster of flechette-like ice shards).

Your character may have encountered Sakuya if:

• They are a member of the Stardust Initiative.
• They are a former of the now-defunct Lux Dimidia Council-affiliate. (Several of that group's members now work for TSI, including her new boyfriend, Michael Henley.)

• Your character works in the legal profession or in the U.S. government.
• Your character is at all active in American civil-rights movements.
• Your character is an "ethical" Dragon and wishes to make contact with similarly-minded Dragon agents.
• As the Initiative's head of legal affairs, Sakuya is also one of its main points of contact with the Council of Venice. Council or Council-contracted operatives who wish to work with the Initiative, or establish contacts, will probably wish to talk to her.
