Born in Ginza district of Chūō, Tokyo on September 23rd, 1983, her family owned a coffeehouse that she worked in her high school years, eventually becoming the hostess. She was also trained in the art of kendo, joining a club in high school, along with a Aikido/Aiki-ken dojo since early childhood. For years, she worked there before leaving for a university in America. She studied at the University of California in Berkley and earned both a Masters in Finance and a Masters in Economics.

Then came the fall of Tokyo to "bomb incident" that happened in the Tokyo subways in 2012. It wasn't long after that she became "chosen" being snagged by the Dragon almost instantly. She has worked very indepentantly for those years. She currently spends most of her time in London with many others who have joined the fight, but claims her home is in Seoul among the Dragon. Realistically, she owns a 3 bedroom brownstone just outside Ealdwic. In her spare time between missions, she works as an independant investor.

Retsu is what could be considered a large woman by Japanese standards. Her long jet black hair reaches down to small of her back. Her jade eyes tend to stand out, even behind her corrective lenses. When off duty, she prefers fashionable outfits or traditional kimonos or yukatas. When working her business, the appropriate suits are her choice of outerwear.

Her smile is gentle and her prescence warm. Her mannerisms reflect one with a sense of propriety. As such, she appears unlikely to speak unless directly spoken to, however at times she is very social; even politely so. Her Japanese accent is nearly nonexistant when she speaks English. Should she be angered, her speech takes on a strong Kansai dialect. She tends to carry herself as a typical business woman, yet she generates a maternal aura about her, and seems to be generous to others; offering drinks and food on various occasions.

In battle, her gaze is much more vicious and murderous. Her stance is one of graceful aggression, and she has little trouble using various means of battle; though she prefers her blade above all, and her skill with the blade is graceful, yet powerful. Anyone with battlefield experience would sense a subtle aura of battlelust from her.
